1. We got a new coach/spotter named Bryce. He's in the army reserve, is super buff, and seems to be in love with Dubstep. By the second day, we had homework: 6x15 army pushups, 6x5 handstand pushups touching your head, 6x20 sit-ups, and 6x5 strict pull-ups. Repeat every day. Yeah, he's pretty hardcore. :)Yesterday, we almost gave him a hard attack. Monkey (Morgan) does a gainer full off the side of the beam, but if you don't know that, it looks like she's trying to land back on the beam, where she would land straight on her face. We forgot to tell him that. He flipped out.
2. I registered for the AP Human Geography test which makes it official. I'm freaking out right about now. We had a study session for a few hours, and I've been studying alone like a madman with my Barron's Book whenever I can: in the morning, at lunch, in the car on the way to gym, the ten minutes before gym, at break, after gym, and of course at night.
3. I've started doing round-offs!!!! I can start pounding on my knee, now. This is a big deal, okay! Just pretend like you care.
4. I discovered gymnastics gifs. Some of them are pretty funny, and some of them just make you even more confused. Like this one, for example.

5. We had our first "Beast Workout," otherwise known as a summer workout. As the name implies, these workouts are extremely hard and energy-consuming, and at the end of everyone, at least two people are crying, one person gives up, and everyone is mentally dead. For this one, we ran around the floor, and then one person would sprint, tumble, or hurdle down the diagonal. They would start a new little line. Meanwhile, back at the original line, at the next corner the second person would go down the diagonal and meet up with the first person. You have to keep running fast enough so that no one has to wait. Then, we did tumbling and leaps down the floor, and that is when I started feeling like I was going to throw up. It was a great fun!
